The Mechanical Cinderella project provides mechanized data mining of co-occurences of words in the internet. It is based on formula known as normalized Google distance, which computes the amount of associations between words, based on their probable co-occurencies. The Mechanical Cinderella displays a matrix based on the formula results. Lower numbers in matrix mean higher probability of co-occurency, ie. the words are more associated. The program makes use of the Google Ajax API.
